Looking for coffee in Vancouver, Washington should not require accepting advertising storage. Brewed Awakenings gives you separate advertising and analytics choices. This notice explains what stays on, what waits for permission and how to turn optional storage off again.
Required is not the same as optional.
Preference and support storage serve functions you use; advertising and analytics storage need your permission.
A cookie is a small value stored by a browser. Local storage also keeps values on your device, but works differently from a cookie sent with a request. Our choices cover both kinds of browser storage when used for optional measurement. A link containing an advertising identifier is a separate matter: that identifier can arrive in the address before you make a storage choice.
Strictly necessary storage
We keep your consent preference so the site can apply it when you return. The support conversation token lets the message window reconnect with your conversation. It is used for that support function, not as permission to advertise to you. Basic hosting also processes request information to deliver pages and protect the service.
Analytics storage
This category permits optional storage used to measure how visitors use the website. It is off by default. Allowing analytics does not, by itself, allow advertising storage or ad personalization. You can browse our coffee and bakery account without choosing analytics.
Advertising storage
This category permits optional persistence of advertising identifiers and conversion measurement connected with paid visits. It covers Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising and Meta Ads. It is separate from permission to reply to an inquiry. Giving us an email address in a contact form does not turn this category on.
The storage record has a purpose.
The consent record lasts 12 months; a support token connects messages rather than creating an account.
The table identifies the supplied browser key and the storage functions used here. It does not invent a fixed list of vendor cookie names. Platform storage can vary with a browser, campaign and permission state, so an unfamiliar entry should be checked against its actual name and origin rather than assigned an assumed expiry.

Browser storage is not the entire data record. Enquiries and their email copies are retained for 36 months. Server and access logs are retained for 90 days. Clearing cookies does not delete those records or the support transcript on the server. Use the data-request route to ask about information held separately from your browser.
Paid clicks carry identifiers.
Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising and Meta Ads send traffic here today.
An advertising click can add a parameter to the page address. Google Ads uses gclid, Microsoft Advertising uses msclkid, and Meta Ads uses fbclid. These identifiers help connect an ad click with a later website event. They are not an order number or a customer account.
For clarity, the google ads click identifier is gclid even when you arrive on a page about coffee rather than an advertising page. An identifier can be present in the referring or landing URL while optional browser persistence remains denied. Denying storage is not a promise that no request reaches a server or that an incoming address is rewritten.
Google Ireland Ltd / Google LLC
Provide Google Ads, attach gclid to clicks and receive consent signals for advertising measurement.
Microsoft Ireland Operations Ltd
Provides Microsoft Advertising, attaches msclkid and handles UET measurement under Microsoft's privacy statement. The site's UET tag uses ID 343277949.
Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd
Provides Meta Ads and attaches fbclid where a campaign runs there. Advertising storage remains subject to your choice.
We do not use sensitive information such as health details or religious beliefs to target advertising. Please do not include that information in a support message. Advertising disclosures explain processing, not eligibility for a particular campaign. Microsoft's food-product advertising restriction remains an advertising operations constraint; this notice does not offer a food-product campaign.
Four signals start denied.
Consent Mode v2 keeps optional storage and advertising uses denied until you allow their category.
Consent Mode v2 defaults are set before tracking initializes. Advertising consent controls the advertising signals below; analytics consent controls analytics storage. Microsoft UET's ad_storage setting follows the same advertising choice. A page load is not acceptance.

- Controls advertising-related storage. Denied by default and granted only when you allow advertising.
- ad_user_data
- Controls consent for sending user data for advertising purposes. Denied until advertising is allowed.
- ad_personalization
- Controls consent for personalized advertising. Denied until advertising is allowed.
- analytics_storage
- Controls optional analytics storage. Denied until you separately allow analytics or accept all.
Declining optional storage or withdrawing all optional consent sets ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization and analytics_storage back to denied immediately. Turning off just one category denies that category's signals while preserving the other saved choice. Denied signals can still be communicated to a platform; refusing storage is not a claim that every network connection stops.
Global Privacy Control, expressed through the Sec-GPC header, is honoured as an opt-out without asking again. It is not treated as permission for optional storage.
A choice can be changed.
Open Cookie settings on this page or in any footer to save new choices or withdraw permission.
Accept all allows both optional categories. Decline optional leaves both denied. Settings opens separate Advertising and Analytics checkboxes; choose the categories you want and press Save choices. Cancel closes the settings without saving a new choice.
To withdraw, open Cookie settings, clear both optional checkboxes and save. To keep analytics but stop advertising, clear Advertising only and save. Withdrawal applies immediately to future collection controlled by those signals. It does not undo processing that already happened while consent was in force.
Your saved choice belongs to this browser. Another device or browser may have a different choice. Clearing site storage removes the remembered preference, so the site starts from denied defaults again. If your browser prevents preference storage, the site can still be read, but the choice may not survive a later visit.
Do not want optional measurement? You do not need to call us or explain why. Use the same controls that grant permission to turn it off.
The coffee pages stay open.
Declining optional storage leaves browsing and direct contact available.
You can read about house-roasted coffee, check the written address and send an inquiry without allowing advertising or analytics storage. Required preference storage remains available, and support uses a conversation token when you use the message window. We do not make optional advertising permission a condition of asking about our bakery.
Optional identifier persistence and consent-dependent advertising uses stop when denied. Analytics storage stays off when its category is denied. Hosting still receives the information needed to serve a request, and messages you choose to send still reach our inquiry or support system.
Blocking all local storage in browser settings can prevent support from reconnecting to a conversation. You can instead contact Brewed Awakenings directly or call 360-573-7170. If you want existing records deleted as well as future optional storage stopped, make a separate privacy request.
