A cup, not a complicated decision

Coffee made by a business that roasts.

Start with the coffee you like to drink. Tell us what you usually choose, or ask what is available today. You do not need a vocabulary of roast profiles to have that conversation. The point is a cup you want to sit down with, not a test of how much you know about coffee.

At Brewed Awakenings, serving coffee is connected to making it. We source and roast coffee ourselves, using a Probat to develop our house coffees and blends. That gives the cup a story beyond the counter, and it gives you something specific to ask us about when you visit.

Our coffee-to-drink offering is for a visit in Vancouver. If you need an online purchase with an immediate checkout confirmation, this site is not that service. We keep the selection conversation direct rather than presenting a fixed menu that might not match what is available when you arrive.

02 / Our beginning

1989The year our family started Brewed Awakenings.

Still a family business. Still about the coffee.

Our family started Brewed Awakenings in 1989. Coffee culture was only beginning to take shape around us. The promise was straightforward: source, roast and serve coffee and baked goods of the highest quality.

That promise still gives the work its direction. Family ownership is not a decorative line on the cup. It connects the beginning of the business to what we do now, including a roasting practice built around a Probat and a bakery whose recipes are developed in-house.

We are not simply choosing a supplier's sweets to sit beside the coffee. Our professionally trained bakers make our baked goods. The two sides belong together: coffee that has been worked on before it reaches the brewing station, and baking that starts before it reaches the counter.

For someone looking for family-owned coffee in Vancouver, WA, those are useful distinctions. They tell you who is doing the work. Our longer story follows that work into roasting and baking, without turning the family history into a list of awards or a made-up menu.

The work behind the counter

From the roaster to your cup.

Coffee does not begin at the pour. Follow the work through roasting and brewing, then into the bakery alongside it. Each part has its own place in the business.

Roast before the rush.

The coffee starts with sourcing and roasting, not with a finished bag chosen only for its label. Our Probat is part of that work. It is the equipment we use to develop house coffees and blends with flavor and consistency in mind.

Roasting happens before a coffee can be served. For you, the useful next step is simple: ask which coffee is available and how it relates to what you already enjoy. There is no need to guess from a photograph of beans.

The craft page goes further into this part of the business. It keeps the distinction between a house coffee and a named origin clear, rather than attaching an unsupported growing region to the cup.

Bring it to the cup.

Brewing is where the roasting work becomes a drink. Coffee to drink is the everyday offer here, not a catalogue of equipment or a coffee course. Ask about the current selection when you are ready to choose.

If ingredients matter to your decision, ask before the drink is made. A coffee photograph cannot tell you which additions are available, and this page does not substitute for a conversation about a particular choice.

The brewing station is where the work meets the order.

Make the companion, too.

The bakery works alongside the coffee. Our baked goods come from recipes developed in-house and are made by professionally trained bakers. We do not treat baking as a bought-in afterthought.

That work takes place before anything reaches the counter. The available selection is confirmed directly, so ask what is ready rather than counting on a pictured item. If you have an ingredient question, make it part of choosing, not something left until after.

A coffee and something from the bakery can be an ordinary stop in your day. Behind it are two kinds of making, kept within the same family business.

The full coffee and bakery account explains what we make ourselves. To find out what is available for your visit, speak with us directly.

Before you come by

A few things worth asking.

You should not have to mistake a website for a current counter display. These answers cover the decisions that matter before a visit, from checking hours to asking about the ingredients in something you want to try.

For coffee and baked goods in Vancouver, a quick conversation can be more useful than a long menu online. Tell us the part you need to know. You do not need to send personal health information or payment details.

Can I order coffee through this website?

No. This is an inquiry-only website, with no cart, checkout or online payment. Ask for current selection and pricing in USD. An inquiry does not place an order or reserve stock.

If you are looking for a guaranteed online pickup order, this site is not designed for that. Use the contact page to ask about visiting instead.

Where can I find current hours and prices?

Call 360-573-7170 for current hours and today's selection. Current prices are confirmed directly in USD; the photographs and descriptions are not a live menu.

Check before making a special trip for a particular item. We do not publish opening times or a price list here that could be mistaken for a current commitment.

Are the baked goods made in-house?

Yes. Professionally trained bakers make the baked goods using recipes developed in-house. Ask directly about today's selection and ingredients before choosing.

The bakery section explains the work behind the counter. It does not turn the photographed baked goods into an item-by-item stock list.

Can you answer ingredient or dietary questions?

Ask us about the particular item before you choose. This website does not establish dietary suitability or make an allergen-free promise. You do not need to share medical information to ask about ingredients.

A description of in-house baking says who makes it; it does not tell you whether a particular food suits your needs. Please have that conversation directly.

04 / Coffee on NE 117th Ave

Make room for a coffee stop.

Find Brewed Awakenings at 6500 NE 117th Ave, Vancouver, Washington 98662. Start with the current hours, then ask what is on the counter.

Coming for a cup is enough. You can also ask about our house-roasted coffees and blends, or the baking that goes alongside them. The people answering can help with the current selection rather than sending you through an online catalogue that pretends to know today's availability.

For a question you want to put in writing, the contact page has an inquiry form. Give us a way to reply and the question itself. A sent message is a request for a response, not confirmation of a purchase, and we do not ask you to pay through this website.
